OSHA Removes Slip, Trip and Fall Rules

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) establishes rules, regulations, and standards for safe working environments. Employers are required by law to comply with OSHA rules to provide a safe workplace for employees. With the removal of the slip, trip and fall rule, employers are now confused about the acceptable guardrail height. Employers with guardrails that are 36 to 37 inches are unclear if they need to raise the height to 42 inches to be in compliance with OSHA regulations.

The removal of the “slip, trip and fall rule” may have a significant impact on employers.
